County: Northumberland

Conviction Date: 07/01/2026

Offence Details

A sex predator is finally behind bars after he raped and abused a child. Paul Logan has been jailed for over 11 years.

His crimes remained unpunished until the victim reported him to Northumbria Police years later. And following what officers have described as a "complex investigation" Logan, of Chirton Green, in Blyth has now faced justice.

The 46-year-old was convicted of two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault, at Newcastle Crown Court. And on December 12 he was sentenced to 11 years and six months in prison.

A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "After living with the effects of Logan’s offending, the victim bravely came forward and made a report to police years later. Logan was quickly questioned by officers but denied any wrongdoing in interview.

"Following a complex police investigation, last summer, Logan, of Chirton Green, Blyth, was charged with a string of sexual offences.
"He appeared at Newcastle Crown Court in October where he was found guilty of all offences."
